Are you considering employing overseas workers on a Temporary Skilled Shortage (TSS) subclass 482 visa in Australia?

If your company (or as a government body which) falls within one of the following categories, you may want to apply to become an accredited sponsor to fast track the processing of those visa applications. Typically, such TSS subclass 482 applications are processed within 5 business days, compared to an average 42 business days for other TSS visa applications.

Below is a snapshot of the basic eligibility requirements to apply as an accredited sponsor. Please refer to the Department of Home Affairs for further details or get in touch with Visakey Australia via www.visakey.com.au to conduct an assessment.

Category 1: A Commonwealth, state and territory government agency having at least 75% of your workforce being Australian workers.

Category 2: An Australian Trusted Trader having at least 75% of your workforce being Australian workers.

Category 3: A company with A$4 million annual turnover in the last 2 years and at least 85% of Australian workers. Your nomination success rate needs to be 97% in the last year.

Category 4: A company with A$4 million annual turnover in the last 2 years and at least 75% of Australian workers. Your nomination success rate needs to be 97% in the last two years.

Category 5: A company that has made a ‘major investment’ of at least A$50 million in Australia which has directly generated Australian employment. Your nomination success rate needs to be 97% in the last year.
